MOSCOW, January 4 Italy began to supply more food processing equipment and refrigerators to Russia, despite the general decline in exports in this industry, said the head of the Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce (IRTP) Ferdinando Pelazzo.
He said that equipment exports from Italy to Russia continue to fall, since this category of goods has many components that may be subject to sanctions or are dual-use goods.
«But we see that the export of food processing equipment and refrigerators is starting to grow, despite the general decline. Italians are starting to sell more «than before. It is clear that this is a typical Italian business, but this is already a good signal that somehow exports from Italy are being revived,» Pelazzo said.
The head of the IRTI emphasized that the export of these categories is growing in full compliance with sanctions, “everything is transparent and legal.”
