MOSCOW, January 5 An off-site meeting of the Council of the Military Innovation Technopolis «ERA» of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation took place at the Raevsky military training ground near Novorossiysk, the participants discussed the development of means to combat drones, the ministry reported.
“»At the base of the Raevsky military training ground near Novorossiysk, a visiting meeting of the Council of the Military Innovation Technopolis «ERA» of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation was held,» the message says. 
It is noted that the meeting was held under the leadership of the Chairman of the Council — Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, the scientific director of Technopolis — President of the National Research Center «Kurchatov Institute» Mikhail Kovalchuk and First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Ruslan Tsalikov.
During the event, members of the Council were shown anti-drone means developed by residents and participating enterprises of VIT «ERA». Participants got acquainted with the technical capabilities of modern and promising counter-UAV systems during a demonstration at the training ground of tactical episodes using various types of drones.
As noted by the Ministry of Defense, the presented systems are capable of protecting stationary and mobile objects from UAVs of aircraft, helicopter and multi-rotor types, as well as FPV drones, including in conditions of insufficient optical visibility.
““Some of the devices shown are already being tested in the zone of a special military operation, others are at the final stage of development,” the ministry emphasized.
Also, according to the department, a strategic session on the development and use of anti-drone means was held at the training ground. The participants were presented with developments, more than half of which were prepared jointly with specialists from the ERA technopolis. After testing and finalization, the samples will be sent to the Northern Military District zone, the Ministry of Defense added.
