MOSCOW, January 8 The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in the Telegram channel that hit the launch site of an anti-tank missile in Lebanon, previously launched in the north of the country.
An anti-tank missile was fired from Lebanon towards the Khar Dov region in the north of the country on Monday, the army said. It is noted that the IDF responded by striking the launch source, as well as other areas in Lebanon.
«As a result of a rocket launch (from Lebanon — ed.), an IDF soldier was slightly wounded. He was hospitalized,» the army said in a statement.
The IDF also reported that an Israeli Air Force fighter recently carried out strikes in Lebanon, during which a military structure of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement was hit. The army also stressed that it had intercepted an air target that had infiltrated from Lebanese territory.
«After air raid sirens sounded in the areas of the city of Kiryat Shmona and the Hula Valley (in northern Israel — ed.), <…> the IDF air defense system successfully intercepted a suspicious air target that had infiltrated from Lebanese territory» , — added the army.
