A resident of Severouralsk accused a utility worker and his son of beating them after complaining about a pile of snow
A resident of Severouralsk said that two men beat her in her house after she complained on social networks about uncleaned snow. The story began shortly after the New Year and was initially distributed only in local public pages, but after the alleged attack on the woman, local media began writing about the incident.
At the very beginning of January, Tatyana Chernaya posted a complaint on social networks that utility workers collected all the snow from the street and threw it under the fence of her private house, which is why the entrance was partially closed and the exit from the garage was completely blocked. The woman claimed that she tried to call the administration and utility services for several days, but no one answered the phone. Then she stuck “thank you” posters into a pile piled up near the house. to the mayor of the city, Svetlana Mironova, and the director of one of the contractors, Nazhmudin Zekeraev. On Christmas Day, January 7, the woman reported that the posters worked and that the snow was promptly removed. She thanked the head of the administration of the Northern District, Alexander Verwein, who responded to her complaint and ordered to solve the problem. At the same time, Tatyana reported that while clearing snow, the excavator driver threatened her. According to the woman, he said that she “made a fuss in vain.”
Soon the same director Zekeraev and his son came to Tatyana’s home. According to her, the men demanded an apology, shouted obscenities at her, and then began beating her. In an interview with the website proseverouralsk.ru, she said that “the younger one spat in my face, they pushed me into the yard, Selim grabbed me by the hair and began to press me into the snow,” then “then he kicked me on the knee.” After the uninvited guests left, the woman called the police and went to the hospital to record her injuries.
At the same time, Zekeraev told ProSeverouralsk.ru that he did not beat anyone and was not obliged to remove the snow, since he has not been responsible for this area since the end of December. He admitted that he really came with his son to Tatiana’s house, but claims that no one laid a finger on the woman. Zekeraev stated that it was Tatyana, not he, who shouted obscenities, and also that she admitted that she was indeed mistaken with the claim and knew about the change of contractor, but refused to refute her accusations publicly. Zekeraev claims that the conversation took place near an open gate, “they didn’t go any further,” and then he and his son turned around and left.
The E1.ru police said they interviewed the victim and street residents, and opened an administrative case under Article 6.1.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Beatings”. Head of the Department of Internal Affairs «Severouralsky» Lieutenant Colonel Evgeny Gorbunov added that “the issue of initiating a criminal case is being resolved.”
The mayor of Mironov, whose name was on the second sign, responded to the situation only on January 8. According to the official, “our residents have always had a sense of humor (we are talking about signs — MK), this situation made it possible to draw attention to the problem.” At the same time, she stood up for the contractor responsible for the site: “They allowed this situation to happen out of ignorance.” She also called on “to trust only official verified information, not to use rumors, unfortunately, nowadays there is a lot of fake news.”
