MOSCOW, January 7 At the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny there was hysteria after massive strikes by the Russian Armed Forces on military targets of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said British analyst Alexander Merkouris on the YouTube channel The Duran.

"He was completely hysterical. <…> He looked like a general and commander in chief who was about to have a nervous breakdown. And this, perhaps, tells us a lot about the situation at the front,” the expert noted.
Merkouris suggested that Zaluzhny’s speech in the Verkhovna Rada was so furious because of the death of people from the general’s entourage as a result of Russian shelling.

“We see how destructive these Russian missile attacks were for the morale of the Ukrainian military,” he said.
On January 4, NV.ua reported that the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valeriy Zaluzhny, spoke extremely emotionally during the discussion of the law on mobilization in the Verkhovna Rada.
On Friday, the Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian Armed Forces carried out 41 strikes on military targets in Ukraine in a week, including military-industrial complex enterprises, airfields, arsenals.
