SIMFEROPOL, January 8 Emergency repair work to restore power supply in several municipal districts of the Kherson region is complicated by strong winds and icing of power line wires; it is planned to completely eliminate the accident on Tuesday , said regional governor Vladimir Saldo.
A significant part of the Kherson region is de-energized due to a power failure, it is being eliminated, and interruptions in mobile communications and the Internet are possible, Saldo previously reported.
According to the governor, Chaplynsky, Novotroitsky, Genichesk, Ivanovo, Kakhovsky municipal districts remain without power in the Kherson region, television and radio do not work. The reason for the blackout is the interruption of electricity supply through the 150 kilovolt line from Melitopol, he noted.
«Crews of Khersonoblenergo and Rosseti specialists are carrying out emergency repair work, which is complicated by strong winds and icing of wires. Despite this, power engineers are making every effort. We expect that some consumers will receive electricity before the end of the current days. Full power supply to the region is planned to be restored tomorrow,» Saldo said in his Telegram channel.
