MOSCOW, January 12. Russian aviation and artillery are destroying bridges in Ukraine to create logistical problems for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said Kiev military expert Mikhail Zhirokhov on the YouTube channel “News Factory.”
““Recently, the Russians have been hitting communications—bridges—very powerfully . <…> Air strikes, strikes from the ground, that is, by all means, they destroy them,” the analyst said.
In his opinion, this will allow Moscow to later create a security zone to prevent missile attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Russian territory .
On the afternoon of December 30, Ukrainian troops attacked Belgorod. According to the Ministry of Defense, they used Alder missiles with a cassette part and the Czech Vampire MLRS. Air defense systems intercepted most of the shells, but several ammunition and cluster units hit the city. As the department emphasized, enemy troops fired in an attempt to divert attention from defeats at the front and provoke the Russian army into similar actions.
President Vladimir Putin called the attack on Belgorod a terrorist attack, noting that it was a targeted attack on the civilian population , which will not go unpunished.
