MOSCOW, January 13 On January 12, Gazprom broke the record for daily supplies through the Unified Gas Supply System of Russia, supplying 1.788 billion cubic meters of gas to Russian consumers, the company reported in its Telegram -channel.
““On January 12, 1,788.3 million cubic meters of gas were supplied to Russian consumers — this is a new absolute historical record for daily supplies through the Unified Gas Supply System of Russia,” Gazprom said in a statement.
The previous absolute maximum was recorded almost ten years ago: on January 30, 2014, 1,786.8 million cubic meters of gas were supplied.
“»The increase in gas consumption is associated with the frosty weather that has established itself in Russia. The average air temperature in the coverage area of the Unified Gas Supply System dropped to minus 14 degrees Celsius on January 12,» the company reported.
Supplies via the Gazprom gas transportation system are carried out reliably, including thanks to underground gas storage facilities, the message indicates.< br />
