VORONEZH, January 18 A female guardian from Kursk will be tried for torturing a 9-year-old disabled girl who cannot cope without outside help, the prosecutor’s office reported region in the Telegram channel.
«The prosecutor's office of the Central Administrative District of the city of Kursk has approved an indictment in a criminal case against a 49-year-old woman. She is accused under paragraph «d» of Part 2 of Article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation «Torture committed against a minor, known to the perpetrator in a helpless state, in financial and other dependence,» the department said in a statement.
Investigators found that a resident of Kursk was the guardian of a 9-year-old palliative child who cannot move and care for himself. In December 2022, she , not wanting to take care of the girl, beat her repeatedly.
As the press service of the prosecutor’s office specified, “the accused struck her on the head and other parts of the body, including with an unidentified object.” The girl is now in a social institution for palliative children in the Moscow region.
The prosecutor's office sent a statement of claim to the court for the recovery of 800 thousand rubles from the accused in favor of the injured child as compensation for moral damage.
