KEMEROVO, January 19 A resident of the city of Kiselevsk, who killed a dog in a sadistic way, received a suspended sentence, reports the press service of the prosecutor's office for the Kemerovo region.
In September, the police reported that they were checking the circumstances of the incident in Kiselevsk, where a 46-year-old man threw a pregnant dog from the ninth floor because it had bitten a pet rat; the dog died from its injuries. A criminal case was opened for cruelty to animals. The accused faced up to 5 years in prison.
«The convicted person fully admitted his guilt in the act charged to him and repented of his crime. Taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, the court sentenced him to in the form of 3 years of suspended imprisonment with a probationary period of 2 years,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
