MOSCOW, January 21. A petition demanding the dismissal of a Russian Railways conductor who threw Twix the cat out of the train in Kirov was signed by more than 220 thousand people, according to data on the website Change.org.
As the statement says, the woman “deliberately threw the cat at the station «As a result, the animal died.» On Saturday, the appeal, created on January 19, was signed by more than 200 thousand people.
Earlier, the owner of the cat thrown out of the train reported the death of the animal and promised to do everything to ensure that the perpetrators were punished. He also thanked everyone who helped search for the pet and spread information. According to volunteers, the cat was found dead a kilometer from the place where he was dropped off from the carriage. About 300 people were involved in the search.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that they would not initiate a criminal case for arbitrariness after the incident with the animal. Russian Railways expressed regret over the incident and apologized to the cat's owners. They also added that in order to avoid a recurrence of such cases, changes are already being made to the documents relating to the transportation of pets.
