MOSCOW, January 20 The Russian government approved the allocation government bodies of the country's constituent entities have the authority to develop plans for extinguishing wild fires and preventing emergencies, according to the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
«Government decision: approve the draft federal law «On Amendments to the Federal Law «On the Protection of the Population and Territories from Natural and Technogenic Emergencies» and Articles 16 and 18 of the Federal Law «On Fire Safety» and submit it to the State Duma in the prescribed manner,» the message says.
The bill proposes to give state authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation the authority to develop and approve plans for extinguishing natural fires (with the exception of forest fires), as well as carrying out measures to prevent emergencies, natural disasters and liquidate their consequences.
