The Meshchansky District Court of Moscow arrested 39-year-old Dmitry Shatresov under the article on confidential cooperation with a representative of a foreign state (275.1 of the Criminal Code), the court's press secretary told Mediazona.
She did not give details about the case. Shatresov’s lawyer, Sergei Valkirny, initially refused to provide any comments, and then told the reporter: “We can only work on a commercial basis. Otherwise it’s not interesting.” When asked to clarify whether he was really asking for money for commenting about his client, Valkyrny replied: “As you wish. All the best».
Judging by the last name, first name, patronymic and date of birth, the arrested person is a person whom the transport company previously accused of deception. Allegedly, he ordered two trucks from Moscow to Nadym in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and refused to pay the money.
According to information from leaked databases, Shatresov lived in Krasnogorsk near Moscow.
Article 275.1 on confidential cooperation with foreign or international organizations appeared in the criminal code in 2022, its punishment ranges from three to eight years in prison. It is not often known exactly why such cases are brought: for example, lawyer Ivan Pavlov, who specializes in cases of treason, believed that even correspondence in a secure messenger could be considered a “secret”.
A resident of Birobidzhan was accused under this article. who, as the FSB claimed, for money for the SBU, “carried out tasks to collect information about the activities of the Russian army in the special operation zone” and “looked for performers to commit sabotage on the transport infrastructure. The intelligence service reported about two Crimean residents that they “offered an SBU officer to take photos and videos of objects of the Russian Armed Forces.”
