DONETSK, January 31The building of the Donetsk City shopping and entertainment center was damaged as a result of an explosive object being dropped from an unmanned aerial vehicle on the Kievsky district of Donetsk, the DPR representative office in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues reported on the Telegram channel with war crimes of Ukraine (JCCC).
«According to the operational lines of the DPR representative office in the JCCC on January 31, as of 16.00, additional information was received about civilian casualties in the cities of the Republic: the city of Donetsk (Kiev region): Dropping an explosive object from a UAV at 13.30: — Shopping and entertainment center «Donetsk» City» on Artema Street,» the representative office said in a statement.
The DPR representative in the JCCC reported earlier on Wednesday that at 13.30 Ukrainian troops attacked the Kiev district of Donetsk using an attack drone, dropping an explosive object from it.
The Kiev district of Donetsk is located in the northern part of the city. Since 2014, when the DPR declared independence from Kyiv after a coup d'etat there, the area has regularly come under fire from Ukrainian security forces. The northern outskirts of the area is considered to be an airport, destroyed as a result of months of fighting between the Ukrainian military besieged there and the Donetsk militias who stormed their positions.
