A criminal case was opened against a resident of Berdsk for attempting to hack the Russian government website

Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs opened a criminal case against a resident of Berdsk born in 2003; he is accused of trying to hack the Russian government website. NGS.RU and Berdsk Online write about this with reference to the FSB department for the Novosibirsk region.

As the publications report, the young man is charged with attempting to create malicious computer programs designed to neutralize means of protecting computer information (part 1 of Article 273 of the Criminal Code using Part 3 of Article 30 of the Criminal Code).

According to the security forces, in the spring of 2023, the Berd resident decided to study the vulnerability of the Russian government website and used malicious software for this. He was later detained by FSB officers.

A day earlier, it became known about the verdict of a hacker from Kemerovo region. A resident of the city of Leninsk-Kuznetsky, Ivan Konovalov, was sentenced to two years probation in the case of an attempt to hack the website of a local state television and radio company. He was found guilty of using the program to unlawfully influence critical infrastructure (Part 1 of Article 271.4 of the Criminal Code).
