
MOSCOW, February 2 Moldova does not rule out the possibility of buying gas from Russia, said the head of the country’s Ministry of Energy, Viktor Parlikov, as quoted by Sputnik.
«Today we are in a situation where we can choose: buy from Gazprom, on the stock exchange or from other suppliers,” he said.
Parlikov added that the decision will depend on the price offered. Moldova did not introduce a ban on Russian gas, the politician emphasized.
Last year, the republic did not purchase gas because it was more expensive, Parlikov explained.
In October 2023 In 2009, Moldavian Energy Minister Viktor Parlikov stated that the republic would no longer purchase gas from Gazprom. According to the minister, the country managed to obtain gas from alternative sources by purchasing it on the European market.
