MOSCOW, February 2 The authorities of the Kherson region intend to ensure the safety of voters as much as possible during the Russian presidential elections in the region, despite possible provocations from Kiev, Governor Vladimir Saldo said in an interview.
«Our task now is to do everything to ensure that the elections are as safe as possible for those who will vote. This is the task of both the federal government and the regional authorities. Because they will still interfere with us. Although these obstacles are all will not affect the overall result, but will interfere,” said the head of the region.
According to him, provocations from the Kyiv regime are possible.
«Undoubtedly, there will be provocations of various kinds. Manipulations, technologies are known. And there may be shelling, and talk about not coming to the polling station — it is mined, or the elections have been canceled on our territory altogether «Anything is possible. But if you look at people, you need to take an example from them, they, on the contrary, are inspired by the future, and therefore we are preparing the elections so that they are held as safely as possible for voters,» Saldo emphasized.
In general, the head of the region expressed confidence that the results of the election campaign throughout the country “will be very impressive.” “Both in terms of the number of voters who will vote for Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, and in terms of the number, the turnout with which people will come to vote,” he noted.
