MOSCOW, February 4 Auston Matthews’ team beat Connor McDavid’s team in the final game of the National Hockey League (NHL) All-Star Game in Toronto.
The game was played in a “3 on 3” format (two periods of 10 minutes each) and ended with a score of 7:4 in favor of Matthews’ team, which scored a winning double and was recognized as the most valuable player of the All-Star Game. Also on his team, Clayton Keller, Mitchell Marner, Filip Forsberg, Alex DeBrincat and Mathew Barzal scored goals. Boone Jenner, David Pastrnak, Leon Draisaitl and Tomas Hertl scored for McDavid's team.
Russian goalkeeper of Matthews' team Igor Shesterkin made 7 saves out of 10 shots. The winners were mentored by Boston Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery, and their star captain was the popular Canadian performer Justin Bieber. The winning team also received a check for $1 million.
The Russian goalkeeper of McDavid's team, Sergei Bobrovsky, reflected 10 shots out of 13. Russian goalkeeper Alexander Georgiev and forwards Kirill Kaprizov and Nikita Kucherov, whose teams were eliminated at the semifinal stage, also took part in the All-Star Game.
