WASHINGTON, February 7 The US national debt by the end of 2034 will reach an absolute historical record of 116% of US GDP and will continue to grow, according to the report of the budget office of the country's Congress.
““Government debt will increase from 99% of GDP by the end of 2024 to 116% of GDP by 2034, which will be the highest level ever recorded,” the document says.
According to budgetary office forecasts, already in 2025 the level of US national debt will exceed the volume of GDP and will be established at 101.7% of it.
As noted, in the absence of changes in American legislation, the level of public debt will continue to rise after 2034.
