MOSCOW, February 10 Russian forward for the Washington Capitals Alexander Ovechkin closed the gap with Canadian Wayne Gretzky on the list of the best snipers in the regular season of the National Hockey League (NHL) in history to 60 goals.
Ovechkin scored a goal in the regular season match against the Boston Bruins. The 38-year-old Russian, who ranks second on the list of the best snipers in NHL history, brought his total number of goals in the regular season to 834.
The league record holder is Gretzky, the Canadian has 894 goals in 1,487 matches.
