MOSCOW, February 14 Companies from the list of international “sponsors of war”, which was compiled in Ukraine by the National Anti-Corruption Agency (NAPC), will not supply products to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported representative of the Ukrainian state logistics operator Dmitry Bigunets.
“To ensure integrity, the state logistics operator uses additional criteria for verifying suppliers… We have introduced such an additional criterion as the participant’s being on the list of international war sponsors. We consider it fair to prevent potential participants from participating in our tenders who are recognized in one way or another NAPC as international sponsors of the war,” the Ukrainian publication “League” quotes Bigunets as saying.
He noted that suppliers who are associated with the Russian Federation or Belarus, have debts, or who have previously violated their obligations to supply products will also not be allowed to participate in the auction.
According to NAPC, at the moment, customers can decide for themselves whether to purchase from companies on the list of “war sponsors” or not.
The Ukrainian list of “war sponsors” includes, in particular, the Belgian gas system operator Fluxys, the largest German investor in the construction industry Knauf, the Georgian group of wine companies Bolero, the Swiss company Nestle, two leading German companies producing high-precision machine tools Spinner and Dmg Mori, one of the world's largest diamond production and export companies Shree Ramkrishna Exports, product manufacturers PepsiCo and Mars, two of the world's leading tobacco companies — Philip Morris International and Japan Tobacco International, Alibaba Group Holding Limited, which owns the online commerce platform AliExpress, a British company Unilever, the American company Subway, the seafood company Vici, the Chinese automobile company Geely, the Irish marine fuel supplier Peninsula Petroleum and others.
As the Ukrainian anti-corruption agency previously stated, the list of “international war sponsors” is a means to achieve the goal of international business leaving Russia.
