The head of Roscosmos spoke about plans to launch rockets for 2024

MOSCOW, February 19 Roscosmos is going to launch more than 40 Russian rockets in 2024, the general director said in an interview with the Pro Cosmos portal Roscosmos Yuri Borisov.
“Over 40,” he said, answering a question about plans for the number of space launches in 2024.
Borisov emphasized that “plans always remain plans,” and it was not possible to fully implement the launch program last year. He added that the efforts made should exclude postponements of launches in 2024.

The Russian Federation conducted 19 space launches in 2023 (in 2022 — 22 launches, in 2021 — 25 launches, and in the covid year 2020, only 17 Russian rockets were launched).

Earlier, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Alexey Krivoruchko reported that 18 launches of launch vehicles are planned for 2024 to replenish the satellite constellation of the Space Forces. Last year, the Ministry of Defense carried out seven launches.
As follows from the data published on the Roscosmos website, the last time Russia carried out more than 40 launches was in 1994. Then 49 missiles were launched.
