MOSCOW, February 29 Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin On air on the Rossiya 24 TV channel, he called Russian President Vladimir Putin’s message to the Federal Assembly extraordinary and inspiring.
«An extraordinary message, because it clearly sets Russia's development strategy for the coming years, for the development prospects. Moreover, we are making bold plans. If we, say, for 2-3 years talked about the fact that we need to survive, save ourselves, resist sanctions, today we look confidently into the future and are making strategic plans, what the president spoke about… I think that, of course, the message is very fundamental, serious and inspiring,” Sobyanin said.
The mayor noted that plans are being made in all areas — education, healthcare, transport, industry.
«This was an unusual, clear directive for us to consume less imports and create our own products. We have always talked about this, but there has never been such a specific task of restoring Russian industry in all its spheres. We understood that that under the sanctions regime we can do a lot ourselves. And the automotive industry, instrument making, microelectronics, pharmaceuticals and so on are things that we are now also developing in Moscow,» Sobyanin said.
According to him, Moscow is ready to work in these directions.
