GROZNY, March 2 The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, explained the traditional high turnout in the Russian presidential elections in Chechnya and expressed confidence that this year the turnout will be “incredible.”
«We can say… one single family lives in the republic. Therefore, when we speak to each other, everyone hears and goes to the polls, to any events…. We say, if you want us to serve further, as we serve, let's do today what we say. And the people and the authorities are always together…. I am sure that this year there will be an incredible turnout,» Kadyrov told reporters at the Congress of the People of Chechnya.
According to Kadyrov, those who question the high turnout in the republic do not understand the Chechen mentality, customs and traditions.
