As part of the International Multisport Tournament “Games of the Future”, on March 2 and 3, G-Drive physical races took place on the former track Russian stage of Formula 1 — Sochi Autodrom. 28 pilots from 13 countries took part in the competition, which for the first time combined real and virtual motorsport. The victory was celebrated by the crew of Alexey Nesov and Alexander Smolyar from the SMP Racing team.
According to the rules, the final first place was determined based on the results in the physical and digital races. The pilots raced in real cars while driving Formula 4 cars with turbocharged engines producing 160 horsepower. The maximum speed of these cars is 240 kilometers per hour, acceleration to hundreds in 4 seconds. The virtual part took place in the cockpits of professional simulators with panoramic screens, steering base and pedals.

The result in racing is directly determined by the state of the technology, therefore, for the figitial competition cars, high-tech fuel G-Drive 100 from the Gazprom Neft gas station network and a new synthetic motor oil with a reinforced additive package G-Energy 5W-40 were chosen, which significantly reduces the coefficient of friction of parts and increases engine power at increased loads. This is the first product from a specialized line for racing vehicles, which in terms of viscosity class is also suitable for ordinary passenger cars. The new product proved its effectiveness before the start of the race — during test runs.
The fuel used to fuel figital racing cars is used at all key motorsport competitions in the country. Fuel is provided by a single operator, whose service includes a full range of services: from supply planning to quality control at the race site.
Assistance in technical support of the competition was provided by specialists from the G-Energy mobile laboratory. Based on many years of experience gained in motorsports, the team created a predictive diagnostic service using artificial intelligence technologies. The method allows you to perform an in-place engine check in 10 minutes with just one drop of running oil. The data obtained during the research is also used to create the formulation of new motor oils.
