
MOSCOW, March 7 Two victims at the thermal power plant in Tuva remain in extremely serious condition, 6 in serious condition, all of them were safely taken for treatment to the Krasnoyarsk Regional Clinical Hospital, said Assistant Minister of Health of Russia Alexey Kuznetsov.
On Wednesday, in the three-story building of the central boiler house of the Shagonar CHPP, a coal dust explosion occurred in the fuel supply room, causing a fire over an area of 50 square meters. 23 people were injured, 15 were hospitalized. The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations sent equipment to the region to restore heat supply and heat socially significant facilities. On Thursday, the first boiler of the emergency thermal power plant was launched, two more are being prepared for launch, equipment is expected from Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Moscow and other cities. Eight victims were evacuated from Kyzyl to Krasnoyarsk by a special flight of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, who were taken for treatment to the burn center of the regional clinical hospital.
«Eight victims in the incident in Tuva were safely transported by teams from the federal center disaster medicine of the Ministry of Health of Russia to the Krasnoyarsk Regional Clinical Hospital. Two of them are still in extremely serious condition, 6 are in serious condition,» Kuznetsov told reporters.
He clarified that the condition was worsening there was no background transportation. In the near future, telemedicine consultations will be held with specialists from leading federal centers of the Ministry of Health, Kuznetsov noted.
According to him, another 7 victims in a moderate condition continue to receive all the necessary care in hospitals in Kyzyl. Providing assistance to victims is under the personal control of Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko.
