MOSCOW, March 10 Vera Musatova, a close friend of the USSR Central Television announcer Svetlana Morgunova, reported that the cause of the announcer’s death was a detached blood clot.
The agency was previously told by people around Morgunova that she died at the age of 84.

"The cause of Morgunova’s death was a blood clot that came off. The date and place of farewell are not yet known,” Musatova told the agency.
Svetlana Morgunova is a People’s Artist of Russia and an Honored Artist of the RSFSR. Since 1961, she worked as an announcer for the USSR Central Television. She hosted episodes of such programs as “Blue Light” and “Morning Mail”.
