VTsIOM gave a forecast for turnout in the presidential elections

MOSCOW, March 11 Estimated turnout for presidential elections in 2024 will be about 71%, while Russian presidential candidate Vladimir Putin can gain 82%, according to the forecast of VTsIOM.
The All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTsIOM) presented the results of electoral calculations for the upcoming presidential elections in the Russian Federation, prepared by order of the Expert Institute for Social Research (EISR).

«The estimated turnout for the upcoming presidential elections in Russia is 71%. According to electoral calculations, the current head of state Vladimir Putin is in the lead with 82%,» says the VTsIOM study.

According to the research organization, Nikolai Kharitonov (Communist Party of the Russian Federation) will gain about 6% of the votes, Vladislav Davankov (New People) — 6%, Leonid Slutsky (LDPR) — 5%. The remaining 1% will spoil the ballots, according to a study by VTsIOM.
The calculation was carried out on the basis of data from an all-Russian telephone survey. The calculation was made using the methodology of electoral probabilistic forecasting of the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM). The final result was obtained by combining two complex blocks: turnout calculation and voting calculation. The calculation model takes into account: awareness, interest in elections, voting motive, and various circumstances.
The Federation Council has scheduled presidential elections for March 17, 2024. The main voting will last three days: March 15, 16 and 17. Four candidates registered by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation are vying for the post of head of state: Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov, Vladislav Davankov and Vladimir Putin.
