MELITOPOL, March 12. Russian specialists in the Zaporozhye direction intercepted and re-flashed a large Ukrainian UAV-relay used to target and increase the flight distance of FPV drones, said an officer of the anti-drone unit.
He explained that the Ukrainian military uses large UAVs as a repeater, this can significantly increase the flight range of smaller kamikaze drones. During the work with the intercepted drone, new information was obtained about the enemy’s technical equipment.
«This enemy product was planted by us. It was used as a repeater for FPV kamikaze drones. This product is currently being finalized, but we are already using it on the line of combat contact,» the agency's interlocutor said. He explained that after the specialists finish working with it, the enemy will no longer be able to land this drone.
