
UFA, March 15 A member of the election commission in Udmurtia tried to fill the ballot processing complex with brilliant green, the regional election commission reported.
The provocation occurred in the evening in the premises of precinct commission 2/21 in the Leninsky district of Izhevsk, explained the Udmurt election commission.
“A voting member of the commission, Nadezhda Pinegina, nominated to the commission by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, tried to flood the ballot processing complex with green paint. The KOIB operators responded in time, the ballots remained safe,” the message says.
The police officer on duty at the station quickly took all necessary measures. The precinct commission completed voting as usual, the commission added.
According to the Udmurt election commission, on the first day of voting in the Russian presidential elections, voter turnout was 29.07%.
The Federation Council has scheduled presidential elections for March 17, 2024. Voting will last three days: March 15, 16 and 17. Four candidates registered by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation are vying for the post of head of state: Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov, Vladislav Davankov and Vladimir Putin.
