Stellantis Corporation continues to say goodbye to V8 gasoline engines of the HEMI family; on the Jeep Wrangler only the Rubicon 392 version has such an engine, in this year it will be discontinued.

The production Rubicon 392 debuted in the fall of 2020, it is offered only in a long-wheelbase 5-door version and is the most expensive in the Jeep Wrangler range, the number 392 indicates the engine displacement in cubic inches, that is, 6.4 liters. The maximum output of the legendary naturally aspirated V8 HEMI under the hood of the Jeep Wrangler is 476 hp. and 637 Nm, transmission — only 8-speed hydromechanical “automatic”. The Wrangler Rubicon 392 accelerates to 60 mph (96.56 km/h) in 4.5 seconds. A dual-mode exhaust system allows you to fully enjoy the roar of a V8 somewhere in the steppes.

Last year, the Rubicon 392 underwent a planned restyling along with the entire Wrangler family, and today the farewell Rubicon 392 Final Edition was presented (shown in the title photo, there are no others, unfortunately).

Features of the “final edition” are increased ground clearance from 262 to 294 mm (the fording depth has grown from 825 to 876 mm), reinforced sills, a front bumper with an integrated winch and cradle, 17-inch bronze-colored wheels with beadlocks, 35-inch knobby tires, exclusive black and bronze decorative decals on the hood and front fenders, commemorative plaques and medallions, black nappa upholstered interior with gold accents. In addition, the equipment includes an expanded set of tools (83 items).

In the US, the Rubicon 392 Final Edition starts at $99,995 (plus $1,895 shipping), while the standard current-model Rubicon 392 starts at $92,140 (plus shipping).

In January of this year with engines The V8 has begun to say goodbye to the Dodge Durango crossover, but the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 is still available on the Ram 1500 Classic pickup. The new generation Dodge Charger, which debuted earlier this year, no longer has V8 engines; they have been replaced by an in-line 3.0-liter petrol twin-turbo six from the new Hurricane family.
