MOSCOW, March 18 TV presenter Ivan Urgant said that in his heart there is always a place for People's Artist of the Russian Federation Alexander Shirvindt, and added that he will always think, how the artist would say, react, joke in a given situation.
Shirvindt died on March 15 at the age of 90. The farewell ceremony for the artist takes place at the Satire Theater. After this, the artist’s body is cremated. The urn with his ashes will be buried at the capital's Novodevichy cemetery, the date will be chosen by the family.
“This is love, this is something that you cannot explain in words. Thank you, Alexander Anatolyevich, for everything: that you were with us, that you will be with us. Nothing happened for me. There is always a place in my heart for Shirvindt «I will always compare something with how Shirvindt would say, how he would react, how he would joke, how he would always find something to say. Thank you very much, I love you very much,» Urgant said on farewell ceremonies.
Shirvindt was born on July 19, 1934 in Moscow. After graduating from the Shchukin Theater School in 1956, he was accepted into the troupe of the Theater. Lenin Komsomol (now Lenkom Mark Zakharov). Shirvindt has served at the Satire Theater since 1970, from 2000 to 2021 he was the artistic director of the theater, and in 2021 he became its president. In addition, the actor taught at the Shchukin Theater Institute. Shirvindt is widely known for his roles in films, including such films as “The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!”, “Three in a Boat, Not Counting the Dog,” “Circus Princess” and others.
