A participant in the events at Crocus spoke about the man who saved dozens of people
A young man who was present during the events at Crocus City Hall attacked one of the terrorists and took away him with a machine gun and hit him with the butt, he managed to save dozens of people, said witness Elena. Her words are quoted by the Baza Telegram channel.
61-year-old Elena came to the concert with her daughter and an acquaintance. When the shooting started, many spectators mistook the shooting for fireworks, but then her acquaintance said it was time to leave.
The woman said that many spectators rushed to the stage because there was an emergency exit on that side. However, a little later, Elena noticed that one of the terrorists was standing near the stage, who was closely shooting everyone who ran in that direction.
After that, Elena hid and waited, and when the shooting died down a little, she saw that an unknown young man jumped on the terrorist, took his machine gun, knocked him over and hit him with the butt.
“The young man jumped on him. I didn’t see how he jumped, I just saw how he had already taken the machine gun away from him and beat him with the butt of it,” said Elena.
According to her, at that moment several dead people were already lying near the stage . Elena says that thanks to the man’s action, several dozen people were able to get out of the building. At the same time, the woman does not know whether the man survived, since after she left the hall, shooting was heard there again.
“He just gave us the opportunity to all go out through the stage, we all ran out through the emergency exit outside. He saved a lot of people. I don’t know if he was still alive…” she said.
On the evening of March 22, the Russian FSB published information about the shooting at Crocus City Hall, as well as the fire that started. Later it became known that more than 60 people died as a result of the terrorist attack at Crocus. The Moscow Region Ministry of Health reported that it has data on 145 victims of the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall.
