BRUSSELS, March 22The EU is not going to interfere with the export of Russian agricultural products to the countries of the global South, said the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.

At the same time, it did not answer journalists’ questions about why such measures are not proposed to be applied to Ukrainian agricultural products, the supply of which has already led to an imbalance in single market of the EU.
The European Commission on Friday officially published its proposal to introduce increased duties on the import of grains, oilseeds and their products from Russia, as well as Belarus, into the territory of the European Union.
Experts previously argued that such measures will lead to an increase in prices for these products.
