In annexed Sevastopol, as a result of an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which occurred on the evening of March 23, a local resident was killed, Russian-appointed governor Mikhail Razvozhaev said in his telegram channel.
“Due to a rocket fragment hitting the end of a house A 65-year-old Sevastopol resident died on Yalta,” Razvozhaev wrote. Four more people, according to his information, were injured. He called the attack on the city “the most massive in recent times.”
Razvozhaev spoke about more than ten missiles shot down over Sevastopol and threatened criminal cases against those who filmed videos of air defense operations.
Local residents on the morning of March 24 reported explosions and smoke in the area of the oil depot near the village of Gvardeyskoye, as well as in the village of Sovetskoye. The Crimean Wind telegram channel, citing eyewitnesses, reports that windows were broken in the buildings of a military unit on Rudneva Street in Sevastopol.
The Center for Strategic Communications of the Ukrainian Armed Forces claims that the large landing ships Yamal and Azov, a communications center and several infrastructure facilities of the Black Sea Fleet were hit in Sevastopol. Crimean Wind also wrote about the alleged hit to the communications center on Nikolai Muzyka Street, citing unnamed sources. There is no independent confirmation of this. The Russian Ministry of Defense did not comment on the attack.
