Putin signed a law on rules for determining the origin of goods in the CIS

MOSCOW, March 23 Russian President Vladimir Putin approved the ratification of a protocol amending the agreement on the rules for determining the country of origin of goods in the CIS. The corresponding document is posted on the website of the official publication of legal acts.
The protocol introduces changes to the list of conditions, production and technological operations, during which the goods are considered to originate from the country in which they took place. According to the protocol, the list includes additional items of the commodity nomenclature of foreign economic activity, as well as changes have been made to the names of goods and to the conditions determining the status of their origin.
These changes are due to the entry into force on January 1, 2022 of a new edition of the unified Commodity Nomenclature for Foreign Economic Activity of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS FEACN), updated taking into account the seventh edition of the Harmonized System for Description and Coding of Goods, noted the international committee of the Federation Council.
