The lawyer named four taxes that pensioners will have to pay

MOSCOW, March 24. Pensioners in Russia have tax benefits, but they will have to pay personal income tax, property tax, land tax and transport tax, Vadim Vinogradov, dean of the Faculty of Law at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, said in an interview with the Prime agency.
Personal income tax is required to be paid , if you receive a salary at work, rent out an apartment or sold it ahead of schedule, and also have deposits whose interest exceeded 150 thousand rubles per year.

Pensioners are exempt from paying property tax, but only for one property — an apartment, a garage, a dacha. If you have two or more properties in one of the categories, you will have to pay for all but one of your choice.

There are also land tax benefits, but only for six acres. “If the plot is larger, then you need to pay not for all the land, but for a part exceeding 600 square meters,” warns Vinogradov.
And, finally, transport tax benefits are not federal, but local in nature. They apply to pensioners only in some regions, and even there they have a number of restrictions. However, you can take advantage of suitable benefits for other categories, for example, disabled people and labor veterans, Vinogradov concluded.
