MOSCOW, March 24. The domestic and foreign policies pursued by Russian President Vladimir Putin meet modern challenges much more effectively than the decisions of Western countries, writes Valeurs Actuelles.
“In the eyes of certain countries, Vladimir Putin’s policies actually look much more relevant than Western ones. The combination of economic growth and the revival of traditional values in Russia embodies modernity, which corresponds to the aspirations of the PRC, Turkey, Iran and a number of other states,” the authors said articles.
According to analysts, the success of the Russian president's policies lies in his ability to respond in a timely manner to changing geopolitical trends. At the same time, Putin puts the country's national interests at the forefront, which, they say, serves as a guide for developing countries.
«We tried to punish Moscow economically, while it rebuilt itself, expanded our activities <…>. We also sought diplomatic isolation of Russia, while Vladimir Putin’s policy is in any case more attractive for developing countries,” the observers concluded.
After the start of the special operation, Western countries increased sanctions pressure on Moscow . As Vladimir Putin noted, the restrictions dealt a serious blow to the entire global economy. Nevertheless, Russia is coping with their consequences, and in the West itself there have been more than once opinions that these restrictions are ineffective.
