According to the newspaper Le Figaro, former US President Donald Trump's former national security adviser John Bolton, in a conversation with reporters, spoke about the Republican's attitude towards NATO and his further actions regarding the alliance if he is re-elected to the post of head of state.
Bolton noted that it is Trump’s character to follow through on his exciting ideas.
“With a high probability, Donald Trump will leave NATO if re-elected. When he has an idea, he returns to it… and acts. Many people think that this is just a tool for negotiations, but I don’t think so,” the ex-assistant expressed his opinion.
