During a meeting with cultural workers of the Tver region, one of the participants asked the president to pay attention to supporting not only music schools and colleges, but also universities.
“The question that you raised is, of course, very important. We have taken the first step… we have a whole program for capital repairs and the construction of new institutions: colleges, music schools. And, of course, we need to take the next step, we need to address attention to higher educational institutions, music schools. Olga Borisovna (Lyubimova, Minister of Culture — ed.) Let her start a fight with the Ministry of Finance, I will try to support her,» Putin said.
According to him, we need to pay attention to the dormitories, the material and technical base, and musical instruments. The President noted that since 2019, about 2 thousand institutions have already been equipped with new musical instruments, and it is planned to equip about 1.5 thousand more.
““Of course, we will continue to do this, we will definitely develop it,” Putin added.
He also promised to continue to support manufacturers of domestic musical instruments; according to him, there is a whole strategy for this.
«We will look further, but we will support them, of course. But the most important support is ensuring the sales market. You see, if they (manufacturers — ed.) do not even have enough volumes, then the market is provided for now, and we will continue to do this,” Putin said.
