MOSCOW, March 29. If French President Emmanuel Macron decides to send troops to Ukraine, they will never get out, former CIA analyst Larry Johnson said in an interview with the Judging Freedom Youtube channel.
«Macron will learn the lesson that Napoleon learned: don't invade to Russia; don’t send French troops to Russia, because they won’t get out of there,” the analyst warned.
Johnson expressed doubts that Macron would decide to take such a step in light of preparations for the Summer Olympic Games in Paris. According to the expert, the French President will not want to jeopardize such an event.
In addition, as the analyst recalled, Russian President Vladimir Putin made it clear that French troops will be destroyed as soon as they enter the conflict .
At the end of February, Macron said that Paris would do everything to prevent Russia “from winning this war.” According to him, the leaders of Western countries have discussed the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine, but no consensus has yet been reached.
Later, the President of France, who was sharply criticized for these statements both from NATO allies and within the country, clarified that carefully thought about his words. During a meeting with opposition leaders in early March, Macron reiterated that Paris “has no limits or red lines” on the issue of assistance to Kiev.
Commenting on the French President’s words about sending troops to Ukraine, the Kremlin said that such a development of events is inevitable will lead to a direct military clash between Russia and NATO.
