France promised Kiev «old, but still working» armored vehicles and missiles
France promises to supply Ukraine with “hundreds of old, but still functional” Aster armored vehicles and missiles as part of a new aid package to Kiev.
As Le Parisien writes, weapons deliveries are planned for 2024 and early 2025. We are talking about VAB armored personnel carriers, withdrawn from service with the French army about 40 years ago and replaced by new generation Griffon armored vehicles.
In addition, official Paris promised to “unlock a batch of Aster 30 missiles” for the SAMP/T MAMBA device, the equivalent American Patriot, launched into production in the 90s of the last century.
