MOSCOW, March 29 Russian President Vladimir Putin invited the permanent members of the Security Council to discuss Russia's relations with its closest partners, and asked Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to present a report on this issue.
He noted that relations with its closest partners, friends and neighbors are of greatest importance for Russia. The Russian side proceeds from the fact that these contacts should be built on the basis of taking into account mutual interests, the president added.
“I propose today to consider one of these areas. It seems very important for us, it is traditional. Foreign Minister Sergei Viktorovich Lavrov is now talking about this is what he will report,” Putin said on Friday at an operational meeting with permanent members of the Russian Security Council.
