The Volgograd regional court imposed 10 months of forced labor with the withholding of 10% of the salary of Alena Agafonova, who “tickled” the Mother Motherland on Instagram, reports the press service of the regional courts.
In addition, she was prohibited from publishing in on the Internet for two years.
Agafonov was found guilty of desecrating the symbol of Russia’s military glory on the Internet (Part 4 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code). The case was considered in a special manner: the girl fully admitted her guilt. She was released on her own recognizance.
The girl had been in a pre-trial detention center since February. A criminal case was opened over a July video in which Agafonova removes a sculpture and moves her fingers so that the viewer appears to be tickling it.
Then pro-government bloggers drew attention to her, but the girl was able to leave the country, after which she was put on the wanted list. She subsequently returned to Russia and was immediately detained.
After her arrest, she apologized for the video and emphasized that she did not want to offend anyone.
