Putin allowed state-owned enterprises to take loans from non-credit organizations

MOSCOW, April 6 Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law that allows state-owned enterprises to attract loans from non-credit organizations.
The corresponding document is posted on the website of the official publication of legal acts.

As stated in the explanatory note, this will reduce the risk of failure of obligations of such enterprises when fulfilling state defense orders and in military-technical cooperation.

Before the adoption of the law, state-owned enterprises, unlike state and municipal unitary enterprises, had no right to borrow from non-credit organizations. The law makes changes to Article 24 of the Law “On State and Municipal Unitary Enterprises” that remove this restriction.
It is expected that the new law will allow state-owned enterprises to attract borrowed funds on better terms, including from state corporations and parent organizations of the military-industrial complex (DIC) for the implementation of state defense orders, and from JSC Rosoboronexport for export supplies.< br />
