LUGANSK, April 9 Russian artillery destroyed the English-speaking a group of saboteurs in the Kupyansk direction, said military expert, retired LPR lieutenant colonel Andrei Marochko.
«In the area of the settlement of Sinkovka, intelligence agencies of the Russian Armed Forces located a group of saboteurs communicating with each other in English,» Marochko told the agency.
According to him, after more detailed reconnaissance, the Russian military managed to identify their location. It was hit by howitzer artillery fire.
«After the strike, there were calls for help and evacuation on the radio. It also became known that out of a group of 12 people, five militants survived, two of them were seriously wounded,» Marochko said.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has repeatedly announced the destruction of mercenaries from NATO countries and recorded their presence in the Northern Military District zone. In particular, at the end of last year, at an extended meeting of the board of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu noted that since the beginning of the special operation, over 5.8 thousand foreign fighters have been killed, including from NATO countries: 1,427 from Poland, 466 from the United States and 344 — from Great Britain.
