Dmitry Peskov commented words of a UN representative who stated the intention of the Secretary General of this organization, Antonio Guterres, to end the conflict in Ukraine while respecting its territorial integrity.
He emphasized that the geopolitical realities for both Ukraine and Russia are now different. “Russia has become larger, four new regions have appeared, and everyone needs to take this into account,” Peskov said.
Official representative of the UN Secretary General Stephane Dujarric, compiling reports that the ex-president USA Donald Trump, if re-elected, will seek territorial concessions from Kyiv to end the conflict, said that Guterres has a different position.
"He wants to see the end of the conflict based on the relevant UN resolutions and while respecting territorial integrity Ukraine,” said Dujarric.
