The Moscow Department of the Investigative Committee confirmed that a case was opened in absentia against the journalist and activist Zalina Marshenkulova because of posts on a telegram for justifying terrorism (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code).
The telegram channels Astra, Baza, Mash and Shot were the first to write about this in the morning without indicating sources. According to them, the reason was one of the posts about the bombing of Z-blogger Vladlen Tatarsky in April 2023.
“It was this bandit who was blown up in a Prigozhin cafe today. It’s clear),” Marshenkulova wrote on the day of the explosion in her Telegram channel “Women’s Power.”
“I don’t think there is a need to hypocritically sympathize with the death of a cannibal, an aggressor, a former robber, who supported murders in Ukraine, which did nothing to anyone,” the activist added in another post. — He says “we’ll kill everyone” clear and precise. Here you go. What did he want? Don't attack a neighboring country. Don't call for killing anyone. Don’t call for an attack.”
“The morning doesn’t start with coffee, yes, but with a crime for nothing. “I’m in touch with the lawyers, they haven’t seen the case yet,” Marshenkulova commented on reports of prosecution in absentia. — Of course, I’m not surprised, although it’s surprising that they are now categorizing everyone who disagrees with the war as a “justification of terrorism.” — we must not stop.”
