A disabled child from childhood died in Novosibirsk, eaten by cockroaches in a garbage dump
In Novosibirsk, a disabled child, Ivan Vasiliev, died in Novosibirsk, who lived for 13 years in an apartment cluttered with garbage. The man's mother kept 78 cats in the house and carried garbage home from the dump. The man could not get out of bed, he was surrounded by hordes of flies and cockroaches, writes aif.ru.
The media told the story of 36-year-old Ivan in September 2023. The man lived in monstrously unsanitary conditions in a two-room apartment at house No. 99/4 on Vybornaya Street in the Oktyabrsky district. His 53-year-old mother, sister and sister's daughter lived there.
Neighbors say his mother has mental health problems. She constantly brought garbage from the dump, and she also kept many cats in the apartment. Because of the bad apartment, there was always a terrible smell in the entrance, and hordes of insects attacked the neighbors.
As a result, one of the local residents was able to get into the apartment and filmed Ivan. Ivan could not move, he lay among the garbage, insects crawled into his mouth and eyes. The prosecutor's office and the Investigative Committee organized an investigation. It turned out that no one knew about Ivan’s plight; he had neither a birth certificate nor a passport. The man was taken to the hospital.
Blogger Igor Medov reported that Ivan died on April 7. As it turned out, he suffered from hepatitis, cirrhosis of the liver and epilepsy. The doctors were unable to help him.
