WASHINGTON, April 11 Ukraine will need about $500 billion for recovery, while its pace will slow to 3.2% from last year’s 4.8%, according to a World Bank forecast .
“The cost of reconstruction and restoration in Ukraine has risen to $486 billion,” the organization’s forecast says. This amount is almost twice the size of Ukraine's economy in 2021, the World Bank notes.
“The pace of recovery is forecast to slow to 3.2% this year from 4.8% in 2023, reflecting smaller harvests and labor shortages,” the organization said in its report.
